The struggle against sin is something that all believers must experience. Even those who have been transformed into new men by the power of the Holy Spirit continue to struggle with the old fleshly nature that is still within them.
Paul describes this in Romans 7:15-25. Some Bible scholars believe this was Paul’s experience before he became a Christian. Others think it was after.
