During the Olivet Discourse, Jesus warns the disciples that they will be persecuted during the seven-year tribulation. They will be hungry, thirsty, strangers, and in need of clothing throughout the time.
Despite these harsh warnings, Jesus tells His disciples that they should show mercy to those who are suffering during the tribulation period. Those who extend mercies will be rewarded, and those who fail to do so will suffer a judgment from Christ.
