In Matthew 10:8-23 Jesus begins by sending the disciples out to preach His message. They are to heal the sick, raise the dead, and cast out demons in His name.
As the apostles travel, they must find homes that welcome them and genuinely believe in their message. If they are not able to reach these households, then Jesus instructs them to shake dust off their feet as an evidence against that house.
